Computational Thinking PO2/PO3

This coding activity can be completed using using Scratch  or Tynker . The purpose of this activity is to create a racing game where cats or any other character race from one side of the screen to the other.  What the students are really creating is a tool to enable them to collect some statistics and analyse whether the results, with all things being equal, are truly random.  So this activity integrates coding into statistics.

In order to be successful with this task students should really be confident to use Scratch or Tynker and as such this is not a beginners activity.

If you want to see an example of this program, you can click on the following link.  Obviously, do not share this link with your students as that would eliminate the challenge:  Cat Racing on Scratch.
