Computational Thinking PO2 and DDDO PO2
This activity has been created in response to a plannig session I have had with a school where we are supporting them through their DT/HM PLD contract to create a rich and diverse local curriculum. The students are looking at systems and processes, and we felt that not only could they learn about the system of digestion, but turning that knowledge into a computational thining process for animation and explanation would not only engage the students deeply in the activity it would also deepen their learning too.
For teachers who want to see how the code works for this partially completed example of the digestive system, here is a link for you to use: Digestive System. Obviously, this link is not to be shared with the students, as it will negate the computational thinking they need to go through to break the process into its smallest parts in order to explain the whole system.
If you want us to make more of this kind of resource please contact us at david@dakinane.com and we will make more resources to share with you, related to your need.

Epic! I can’t wait to try this with my students. It looks really simple but the learning and thinking involved in going through this is not.
