DDDO PO2 and CTPO2
In this resource we use knowledge of 2D and 3D shape and use computational thinking skills to break complex shapes down into simple shapes or solids. Once a students recognises the simple shapes witin more complex shapes they can use this information for them to assemble simple planes or solids into a complex approximation of the originial inspiration.
Getting students to create their own original content also addresses key Digital Citizenship issues over copyright and attribution. If all digital media that students publish is of their own creation they will not only enhance the range of their digital skills they will be learning to be good digital citizens and not run foul of any future copyright issues over their published work online.
