Computational Thinking PO1

This activity is a transitional PO1 activity, that whilst unplugged, does use a digital resource to deliver the learning.  Additionally, this activity could be  adapted to be completed using unifix cubes and arrow cards to attain the same outcome and would be entirely unplugged.

When we have done this activity in class we have found that the work done in this kind of activity provides a solid foundation for students to understand the importance of having clear unambiguous sequential instructions to make something work and be repeatable.  Once students have been exposed to a range of similar activities, they then find it easy to transition to work using tools such as turtle LOGO or even Scratch.

To use this resource, simply make a copy of this resource and rename it so that you become the owner of it then adapt it to meet the learning needs/intentions of your students/planning.  If you want us to make more of this kind of resource please contact us at david@dakinane.com and we will make more resources to share with you, related to your need.
