This activity is another collaborative activity.  The students are two write two related simple sentences and then make their two simple, but related sentences, one compound sentence by adding the appropriate connective word to their sentence.  There is an extension exercise on slide three and a requirement for the students to use Screeencastify to share their learning.  If your students do not have screencastify, they can use Powerpoint 2013 or higher on a PC to make a video to share their learning.
