Computational Thinking PO2/3

We have created this challenge to add complexity to the work that students can do with a Micro:Bit, without adding lots of additional resources.  All that is needed to be successful with this task is a Micro:Bit and some LEDs.  The aim of the challenge is also to create a real-world problem for students to grapple with and to make sense of how the world around them works.  The final challenge in this activity challenges the students to solve the problem of how automatic traffic lights might have to be set up at a roadworks or in this case a narrow single lane bridge.

This work builds on other work that we have created using LED’s and Micro:Bits for e-textiles.  If you are new to using LEDs with Micro:Bits then our e-textiles unit might be a better place for you to start.
