Writing:

In this resource we ask students to edit the work of another student, but the students do not know the student who they are editing the work of.  The work has been taken from an online repository of student writing.  We use http://fanfiction.net as a wonderful resource for all manner of reading and writing inspiration for students.

In this task the students are asked to critically evaluate the writing, make the changes and then re-work the writing into a state that they think is a better version from the original.  We do these kinds of anonymous feedback activities to  build the evaluative and feedback skills of the students in order that they can then move on to provide constructive feedback to their peers.
